More Than Just Spraying
General pest control isn’t just about spraying the outside of a house and hoping for the best.
I use a multi-layered approach that attacks pest problems from several directions. Each part of the service serves a purpose, and the layers work together to provide more consistent control.
If one part of the treatment becomes less effective because of weather, pest behavior, or another condition, the other layers still provide protection.
Foundation & Eave Treatment
I treat the foundation and eaves of the structure to create a treated zone around common pest entry and activity areas.
2. Granular Bait
I apply granular bait around the structure to target pests moving through the landscape and perimeter of the home.
3. Dust in Small Gaps
Small gaps and cracks around the structure can provide excellent hiding places and entry points for pests. I use dust in appropriate areas that liquid treatments can’t always reach effectively.
4. Web & Wasp Nest Removal
I remove accessible wasp nests and spider webs that I can find around the structure during service. This doesn’t just make the house look better, it removes active pest structures that can otherwise continue to cause problems.
The idea is redundancy. Instead of relying on one treatment method, I use several complementary methods so that if one layer doesn’t perform perfectly, the others are still working.
What I Do During Each Visit
Inspect the property
I look for signs of pest activity, nests, webs, and conditions that may contribute to pest problems.
Treat the stucture
I apply exterior treatment to the foundation and eaves.
Treat the perimeter
Granular bait is applied around the structure where appropriate.
Treat small gaps
Dust is applied to appropriate cracks, gaps, and other areas where it can provide additional protection.
Remove accessible webs and nests
I knock down spider webs and remove accessible wasp nests I find around the structure.
Identify problem areas
If I find something that requires attention beyond normal general pest control, I’ll let you know.
How You Can Help Keep Pests Away
Pest control works best when the conditions around your home aren’t helping the pests.
Avoid excessively thick layers of mulch around the foundation. Deep, damp mulch can create favorable conditions for pests such as millipedes.
Keep plants and shrubs at least 3 feet away from the structure when possible. Vegetation touching the house can give pests a bridge to the structure and create shaded, protected areas where they can thrive. Keep vegetation trimmed back from siding, eaves, windows, and the roof.
Keep firewood and debris away from the foundation to prevent attracting termites and providing harborage for rodents and other pests.
Reduce standing water and excessive moisture.

Quarterly pest control is designed to reduce and control common pest activity, not guarantee that you’ll never see a bug around your home.
Your property is still exposed to the outdoors, and pests can enter from surrounding properties, landscaping, weather events, or other conditions outside your control.
The goal is to keep pest pressure low and address problems before they become significant.
